Our neighborhood and beyond is rich with outdoor experiences that will be sure to delight. There is something for every ability level from paved paths to rugged steep trails.
- Lake Waco Dam path 3 miles paved path
- East Brazos River Trail 4 miles paved path along Brazos River
- Jonquil Street: One Mile from end to end - low traffic
- Bear Trail: Gravel path around Baylor Campus - 2.5 miles
Outdoor attractions
Waco has a beautiful climate that can be enjoyed for most of the year. (You might have to go outside early in the day in the summer to be finished before it gets too hot!)
- Waco Zoo
- Picnic at Cameron Park
- Disc Golf at Cameron Park
- Kayak on the Brazos Rives (by Franklin & University Parks)

Our Favorite Places to eat
It is difficult to guess the tastes of everyone who might visit Waco, but here are some of our personal favs:
- Buzzard Billy's
- 1424 Bistro (needs reservations) very nice
- Clay Pot
- Cafe Homestead (at Homestead Heritage)
- Bitty & Beau's Coffee
- Bush's Chicken (yes - for those fast inexpensive but delicious meals)
